Compilation of Maps and Geoscientific Information. V.2

Abstract

These notes present the epicentral locations determined by the USGS, GFZ, and EMSC, plotted on geological maps at progressively larger scales, down to 1:25,000. Their purpose is to provide cartographic information that may facilitate the evaluation of possible relationships between the reported epicentral locations and the major tectonic structures of the region.

They also include geoscientific illustrations intended for educational and outreach purposes. No geological interpretations or conclusions are presented, as these are left to specialists.
